Gordon Strom

I was born in Portland, Oregon in 1959. I was raised in an artistic environment. My mother is an artist and she always encouraged creativity, spending long afternoons teaching me how to draw and color.

I started painting at an early age.
You can click here to see a piece from my early collection, at the age of six.

I received my first camera when I graduated from high school. For my first epic body of work I used my 3 year old niece as the subject.

Almost every weekend we would go out exploring and recording our adventures on film. The culmination of the year became a slide show
for her 4th birthday.

The "Karen Jo Show" was a hit with the family and with their support and encouragement I am still photographing daily.

I love Photography. I have completed two books and am working on a third as of late. Hot rod muscle cars and Architecture and flowers
are my favorite subjects. I especially enjoy making images of Spanish Colonial architecture.

My wife and I have a home in Mexico and travel throughout the country enjoying the culture and finding beautiful and unusual things to
photograph.
