
Gordon was raised in an artistic environment. His mother is an artist and she always encouraged creativity. He started painting at an early age. You can click here to see a piece from his early collection, at the age of four. Gordon has also produced some very impressive trompe l'oeil paintings; including a Grandfather clock on his dining room wall. His sister is a children’s author and illustrator, and a painter in her own right.
His love of photography began in adolescence with his first 35mm camera at the age of thirteen. He tried his hand at portraiture using his niece for his subject, trying her patience greatly.
Gordon grew up in Portland, Oregon and he spent a lot of time photographing the landscape of Mt. Hood. He has been photographing ever since. His specialty is shooting the unique details of the things we see all around us.
He and his wife have a home in Mexico and travel throughout the country enjoying the culture and finding beautiful and unusual things to photograph.
